Me and my husband, along with our tiger cat Smokey and our horse-sized dog Apollo, live in an old country farmhouse where I draw my inspiration for my beautifully hand-crafted signs. I believe your home tells a story, the story of who you are, what inspires you and what touches your life. I know that mine does. Let me help you celebrate the love of family, friends and faith through my “Timber” cre

🌾 Welcome to our farmhouse life 🌾
If you’ve been following along lately, you’ve met a LOT of chickens 🐓😄 and yes, they’ve kind of taken over for a minute! Today the whole flock is 8 and 9 weeks old, growing up right before our eyes. One even surprised us we originally named him Pearl, thinking we had a little hen, but Pearl turned out to be a rooster! So say hello to Earl. 😄
We’ve been spoiling them with snacks to see what they love, and the verdict is in: they go for apples, and they’ll dig into cantaloupe too though we learned they want the sweet fruit side, not the rinds! Flip it over and they come running. 🍈🍎
But this little page was never just about the flock. This is TimberBloom Farmhouse where we hand-make signs, frames, and all the cozy farmhouse things, right here on our old homestead. Between the sawdust and the paint, you’ll find chickens underfoot, a garden coming in, and a whole lot of love poured into everything we make.
So whether you’re here for a handmade piece or just to follow along with the homestead life… welcome. We’re so glad you’re here. 💛

🪵 New signs in the making over here! Right now I’m in my favorite messy stage sanding everything smooth and staining the frames before I nail them all together.

Every single one of these is made by hand from start to finish, sawdust and all. There’s just something about watching a plain piece of wood turn into something special for your home.

Can’t wait to show you the finished pieces stay tuned! ✨

Behind every sign is a whole lot of sawdust. 🪚
Today we routed 12 boards, ran the miter saw till it was warm, and turned a stack of raw lumber into a fresh batch of framed signs Gone Fishing, lake life, beach rules, and a Happy Birthday America piece to celebrate the country’s 250th. 🇺🇸
Tailgate’s loaded and the Plainfield Farmers Fair is coming up fast. Which one’s calling your name?

Spending my evening winding down my day off the best way I know how, out staining a few frames. Once these dry they will get cut down to size and turned into a fresh batch of handmade signs for our booth this July. Here is my question for you: what kind of sign would you love to see at our booth? Drop your ideas in the comments, I am always looking for inspiration! Stay tuned tomorrow to see what comes next.

It is finally here! Meet TimberBloom Tweets, our new smart bird feeder with a camera. Here is the thing, I used to have a feeder years ago, until a bear came through while we were away on vacation for the day and bent that shepherd’s hook right down to the ground. I have not had one since. Well, we are back in business, and this time with a camera so we can watch every little visitor that stops by. Now we get to enjoy all the beautiful wild birds right alongside our chicken flock, plus the sweet dove that nests with us every year. Cannot wait to introduce you to our feathered guests!

Name reveal day at TimberBloom Farmhouse! It is finally time to introduce our whole flock. Meet Buttercup, Pearl, Biscuit, Marigold, Clementine, Cinnamon, Domino, and Goldie. All eight have settled right in and each one has her own little personality. A couple might surprise us and turn out to be roosters, so stay tuned as they grow. We are so glad you are here to watch them grow up with us!

Meet the girls. 🐓

It’s official, the TimberBloom flock has names. Eight hens, eight personalities, and a whole lot of opinions about who gets to the feeder first.

Say hello to Buttercup, Pearl, Biscuit, Marigold, Clementine, Cinnamon, Domino, and Goldie.

They’ve gone from fuzzy little chicks to full-on farmhouse royalty, and they have no idea how spoiled they are. These girls are the heart of life here at TimberBloom, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of them.

Drop a comment and tell us which one’s your favorite. 💛

Meet Apollo, the four-legged heart of our little farmhouse. 🐾 He grew up in this house, and today was a very good day to be our boy. We made a run to the local butcher lady week (and may have come home with half a cow… oops 😅), which means Apollo scored a fresh batch of big ol’ cow bones. The tiny tail has not stopped wagging since.
There’s just something about a happy dog, a full freezer, and supporting our local butcher that feels like farmhouse life done right. 🐄🤍

🐔 Big day at the coop! Hubby just finished building the new run, opened up the door that’s been blocked off… and our flock of 8 took their very first steps out into the big wide world. 🥹

True to form, our shy girls crept out one cautious step at a time half convinced it was a trap! Now we just need to win them over properly, so we’ve armed ourselves with mealworms and a whole lot of patience.

What does your flock come running for? Always taking treat suggestions! 💛
