Bandera Recycles

Earlier this week, volunteers working at the Bandera County recycling facility welcomed Bandera Electric Cooperative representatives who presented the Members Choice Contest Award of $5,000 to Don’t Make Waste Bandera! 😍 These much needed funds will help us upgrade recycling equipment as well as purchase supplies for our community projects that include Recycling, County Road Clean Ups & Yard Clean Ups. Thank You BEC🙏💚🙏 and Thank You all who voted for us!👏👏👏

Recycling at both Bandera and Lakehills is open every Saturday (except holidays). Items that are accepted include #1 PETE plastic bottles, #2 HDPE plastic milk jugs, aluminum soda/beer cans and corrugated cardboard.♻️

Our volunteers urge everyone to consider setting up a recycling bin in your homes. Be a part of keeping our Hill Country Beautiful!♻️🌎🌻🌿

Volunteers receive drop off of recylables every Saturday - both the Bandera center (3012 Hwy 16 N, Bandera, TX) and at the Lakehills site (105 Ohio Ave, Lakehills, TX). ♻️

DON'T MAKE WASTE BANDERA/Bandera Recycles will be having it's quarterly Board of Directors Meeting this evening. Public is invited.

Bandera Recycles volunteers doin' the work!

In the Fall of 2025, our Don’t Make Waste Bandera recycling team applied for a grant to make improvements at the central recycling facility in Bandera, TX ♻️

Thanks to the 2025 Our Texas, Our Future Grant from + , funding was awarded for the project, which included equipment upgrades and new signage at the central recycling station. After 6 months, we are excited to announce that these upgrades are now complete! 🎉🎉🎉

These improvements have enhanced the organization, efficiency, and safety of recycling operations for our volunteers—and they are very happy about this! 😊 The center is now more organized and user-friendly for our recycling customers. 👏👏👏I

If you have been recycling with us over the past year, you’ve probably noticed a big difference! 🤩👍👍
