Annual County Meeting Hosted by Bandera County Farm Bureau.
We held our annual meeting on September 13th at the Skyline Ranch RV Park in Bandera. Our president, Booker Young gave a report on the activities that BCFB participated in.
Awards were given to the oldest female member present, Tina Valdez, 92 yrs young. Fall Flowers.
Sunny Schulte, 92 yrs Young. Gift card to Bricks River Cafe. Entertainment was by Lew & The Crew.

A bill that would expand students' milk options at school has cleared a key hurdle.
The Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act passed out of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Tuesday in a voice vote.
The legislation would allow schools participating in the National School Lunch Program to offer flavored and unflavored organic or nonorganic Whole, reduced fat, low fat and fat-free milk and lactose-free milk, as well as non-dairy beverages that meet standards set by the USDA.

Food Connection Donation.
Bandera County Farm Bureau made a Donation of $1500 to Bandera Helping Hands. President Booker Young presented the check to administrator Jesse Parks last week. TFB wants to help them help others.

TFB Garden Grant Donation.
TFB awarded Alkek Elementary the 2025 Garden Grant for $500. Bandera County Farm Bureau matched it with $500. President Booker Young presented the check to teacher Carla Mata. This will help her teach her students more about agriculture. It is Hands on learning.

Bandera County Farm Bureau held its annual Ag Day on March 13th at the Mansfield Park Ag Barn. We had 4th grade students from Alkek &Hill Country Elementary schools. We had lots of exhibits for them to see. Milking with. Southwest Dairy Cattle Assoc.,,Texas Parks and Wildlife, Bandera Electric Coop, Texas Cattle Women's Association, Richard Fink Bees, Donnie Walker Ferrier, and Naumann Angoras with Bonnie Nau.ann, Farm Equipment with Jim Brown, Roger Green and Robert Mazurek. It was a great day.

TFB Leadership Conference.
February 24-25 Bandera County Farm Bureau President Booker Young attended the conference held in Austin. The county leaders got to meet with state legislators.
