It was a beautiful and inspiring ceremony and celebration of both our students and our community. Thank you sharing this day with us here on Facebook.
We are thankful for all of those who have helped along the way and those who continue to make this school possible these many decades later. What these young people are offered is so unique and such fertile ground for both academic and personal growth.
We are so proud of our young people and how they engage and embrace this opportunity for growth. It is such a privilege to witness their first day and their last as they prepare for the next step in their jourrney to make their mark in the world.
Our hearts are full!
The last graduate to speak was Karla Rivas:
Graduate Hector Rivas spoke next:
Graduate Danny Buck spoke next:

One of the features in our End of Year Ceremonies is that a non-graduating student addresses the community and speaks to the graduates on behalf of the rest of the class. This year's speaker was Mohamed Cisse.
Then Hector's Mom, Ms. Rina spoke:
We added a new section to our End of Year Ceremony this year where we honored the families of the graduating students with a certificate and then each graduate presented their moms with a bouquet of flowers.
Danny honored his mom, Ms. Kyna. Karla honored her mom, Ms. Carla. Ethan honored his mom, Ms. Rita and his aunty, Ms. Penina. Hector honored his mom, Ms. Rina.
Two of the moms took the opportunity to give extended remarks. Here is Ms. Carla’s remarks:
