This weekend, Dr. Pam headed out to Spokane, WA to complete her training in person. It was the culmination of many hours of find “simplicity on the far side of complexity” in order to better serve the many kiddos in our community. We now have the tools to help so many more families realize that behaviors are just windows to the brain (can you tell we’ve got some new catch phrases out of this trip??). Over the next couple of months, we’ll be rolling out some new exams, procedures, and in-office stations (it’s game time, gang!!) - we can’t wait to see what you all can do with the

2025, amirite? We made it, though. New babies (😍), new space (hello Cross Keys!), new skills (look for Dr. Pam’s latest cert to officially drop in 2026!), and new tools (shoutout to the real MVP of 2025, the vibration plate). Same gratitude - to all of you for sharing your journeys with us, for joining impromptu performances with Waverly, and for trusting your families to our care. It really never gets old. Looking forward to wobbling with you all through 2026!

The happiest, most appreciative workiversary to the one and only Becca! She’s been with us since the beginning (well, six months in, but after this long who’s counting?) and while I have exactly one picture of her in the office, just know she’s never far. Whether it’s rocking your babies, reasoning with your insurance companies, or talking your trusty chiropractor off a ledge, First Step would be nothing without her. Wish her a great one when you see her this week 💕

You guys have done it again! Thank you for voting us Baltimore’s best chiropractic office two years running! I’m just grateful to have found my little pocket of patients who are happy to get adjusted, rock a baby or two, read to The Intern (again and again and again), and then bring a friend to join you the next time. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - we’re only the best because you are 💕Dr. Pam, Becca, and Waverly

Somewhere in the middle of a move, an influx of patients, and the general busyness of Spring, First Step quietly passed a major milestone. It’s been 10 years this week since I saw our very first patient. Back before the plants, the intern - even before Becca - it was just me, an activator, and a couple of quotes on the wall. Sometimes it was just one patient. Sometimes it was exactly no patients and the rollercoaster of the door opening for it just to be the mailman with an insurance check for $0.23. But then it was a day with 10 patients. And a week with 50 and thinking “Man, I need some help around here”. And then it was Becca helping schedule around five new patients in a day. It was navigating a pandemic in our fifth year and thinking ‘Maybe this is as far as we go’ as our numbers dropped back down to 10 in a day…and then one… but then coming out of it with our busiest year ever. It was bringing two babies of my own and two babies of Becca’s in to be loved on by so many of you. It was getting to rock and hold and care for so, so many of your babies. It was holding just as much space for the pregnancies and for the babies we never got to meet. We’ve celebrated your marriages, hugged you through your tears. We’ve shed tears of our own when we’ve lost patients to moves, to illness, and to the passage of time. It’s been 10 beautiful, stressful, chaotic, hilarious years. 10 years of running always just a couple minutes behind (but maybe dragging my feet just a little when I saw strangers striking up a conversation in the waiting room). 10 years of “I’ve got someone for that!” 10 years of “I don’t know, but let’s give it a shot and see what happens!” 10 years of “Welcome to the party!” and “Stay out of trouble.” I can’t wait to see how much we grow together in the next ten. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for joining us for any and all of this ride — Dr. Pam 💕

This is our first full year with Jane for our scheduling and we are loving the ability to share some stats from 2024!
🩷We rounded out the year with over 6000 patient visits! Not too bad, but we look forward to operating at full speed in 2025 with our little intern starting school and giving Dr. Pam two hands to work with again!
🩵We welcomed 256 brand new patients to the practice, including 87 babies and kids!
🩷Our busiest month was October, but our busiest week was just this past week before our Winter Break where we saw about 175 of you!
🩵We shared countless highs, lows, and in-betweens with our patients who have become more like family these past several years
2025 is a big one for us - First Step is turning 10 years old (!!!) this April and celebrating with our big move to a fresh space with better parking and no scary elevator! It has been an absolute joy to serve you all in 2024 and we can’t wait to keep you moving next year and beyond 💕Dr. Pam & Becca (and, of course, Waverly)
