The federal government has canceled Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) grants.
This funding made it possible for us to offer Mental Health First Aid and awareness trainings to individuals, schools, and community organizations who otherwise could not afford them. These trainings help people recognize warning signs, reduce stigma, and support one another before a crisis happens.
The need hasn’t gone away—but the funding has.
If you’re able, please consider donating to help us keep this work going.

And if you can’t give right now, sharing this post helps more than you know.
Together, we can keep communities supported, informed, and connected.

For a decade, Echo has been committed to building health, not just treating or reacting to illness. Our belief guides everything we do:
Health is not the absence of illness.
Health is the strength, knowledge, resources, and support to live one’s best life—regardless of what one lives with.
As Maryland’s premier Mental Health First Aid provider, Echo has trained thousands of individuals across schools, businesses, organizations, and communities. Our integrated health approach strengthens self and collective efficacy, reduces stigma, and empowers people to support themselves and others.
Over the last 10 years, we’ve provided:
✔️ Mental Health First Aid (Adult & Youth)
✔️ QPR Su***de Prevention
✔️ Trauma, ACEs & Resilience workshops
✔️ Integrated health consulting & professional development
✔️ Community-centered training that builds protective factors and promotes wellbeing
✨ Now we’re asking for your support as we step into our next decade.
Your donation helps Echo expand access to lifesaving training, build healthier communities, and continue creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and capable of thriving.
