Caleb brings 6 years experience in the construction and agricultural industries and is excited to become part of the GJ team and get involved in the fast paced, large scale projects underway.

Outside of work, Caleb enjoys spending time with his family, raising show goats, and farming alongside his wife and other family members.

From Concept to Completion
Client: Country View Family Farms

Just 7 months from groundbreaking to a fully operational grain transload facility at the Port of Baltimore.

Four acres, three silos. 60,000 bushels of storage. Capacity to move more than 200 containers a week. Farmers can unload their trucks in less than 5 minutes with a 15,000 bushel an hour receiving system.

Built for Ports America Chesapeake and Frey Commodities, this facility creates a direct path from truck and rail to global markets.

Groff Julius is proud to have been part of it alongside Ports America Chesapeake, Frey Commodities, and every subcontractor and trade partner who helped bring it across the finish line.

Today we’re celebrating Ben’s 4 year anniversary with GJ!

With 10 years of experience in the industrial and construction industry, Ben developed a passion for the industry early in his career while working as an industrial apprentice. That hands on experience also shaped his commitment to safety and gave him firsthand insight into the challenges faced on the job site.

Today, Ben brings that experience and passion to Groff Julius, helping make safety more than just a policy - it’s part of how we approach every project and look out for the people doing the work.

As temps rise, heat can become a serious hazard on the job site. High outdoor temperatures, direct sunlight, layers of clothing and PPE, and physically demanding work can all increase the risk of heat stress.

Some common heat related illnesses include heat stroke, heat exhaustion, heat cramps, and heat rash.

The good news is that many heat related injuries and illnesses can be prevented by taking the right precautions.

- Stay Hydrated by drinking water and electrolytes
- Take breaks in shade to cool down
-Get acclimated/give your body time to adjust before intense work
-Start earlier when possible to avoid hottest parts of the day

Heat is something we need to take seriously. Know the signs, look out for your coworkers, and don’t wait til you’re feeling sick to take a break.

Safety starts with taking care of yourself and the people working alongside you.
