ATI Introduces New T400 Forged 4340 One-Piece Output Shafts to its Growing Line of Output Shafts!

ATI Performance Products is proud to introduce our new Forged 4340 One-Piece Turbo 400 Output Shafts, engineered for maximum strength, versatility, and performance. These brand-new replacement parts come with extra-long splines and markings, allowing them to be easily cut from Powerglide length all the way down to the shortest 4x4 length. Part numbers 406028 (TH400 Length) and 406028P (Powerglide Length) come complete with a governor gear, standard speedometer gear provision, and a bushing installed. Part numbers 406027 (TH400 Length) and 406027P (Powerglide Length) are designed for race applications and do not include provisions for OEM governor or speedometer gears. ATI’s new output shafts deliver the uncompromising quality, precision, and durability racers have come to expect from ATI. All versions are in stock and ready to ship in whatever length you request! The Mid Atlantic Junior Series is proud to form a partnership with Baltimore Based ATI Performance Products for all 8 classes in 2026 paying back to YOU the racers for running their products! ATI will become a presenting sponsor for the 2026 Juniors season and I'm sure you're asking so what does that mean for us?

ATI will throw another $100 per winner of each age group (6-12 & 13 & up) so at 32 cars we are now paying out $750 for both age groups, they will also offer up a contingency program paying back to the racers who run their product below. The Mid Atlantic Series will work with ATI for proper pictures of the winner / runners-up and once we submit this info, a check will be sent out to the racer once the purchase is verified.

When Jim Beattie, President of ATI Performance Products, Inc. first attacked the field of automatic transmissions, Funny Cars were blistering down the track at six seconds and dragsters were still trying to break 200 m.p.h. Today, one can’t help but notice the dominance of ATI decals at the track.

Automatic Transmissions, Inc., which Jim built from a modest general rebuilding shop in Silver Spring, MD, is still a family-owned and operated business with JC Beattie, Jr. heading operations for the company. Other family members help in various capacities within the business.

It’s obvious the entire family has a passion for the racing industry. From the age of three JC, along with his dad, could be found racing anything with wheels. Now, he sits behind the wheel of a 2009 Drag Pak Stocker or 2012 Super Stock COPO Camaro equipped with ATI parts to give ATI customers true track-tested and proven products.

Over the years, ATI has earned a reputation for its cutting-edge technology, attention to detail, and rigorous testing under race conditions. By staying true to these basic principles, ATI has built a loyal customer base; many of whom still use parts purchased from ATI in the 1980’s.

Today, ATI manufactures a multitude of high-performance parts including competition transmissions such as the incomparable Superglide®, Treemaster Converters®, Super Dampers®, Compu-Flow® Valve Bodies, Flexplates and Adapter Kits as well as a wide variety of performance enhancing internal transmission components.
