For as long as I can remember I have been organizing and planning everything in my day-to-day life, which also parlayed into my professional roles with GBMC, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and the Maryland Highway Safety Foundation. Trying to organize your closet..here are a few tips to keep your closet in check:
1. Clothes...do a seasonal clean-out. If you haven't worn the item in the last 12-24 months, consider consigning or donating it.
2. Shoes...keep only what you wear! If your style has changed, your size has changed (my feet somehow shrunk over the last couple of years) or you find you're keeping them around "just in case", considering purging what you don't wear. Donate, consign or put in the trash (if they're just too worn out to wear).
3. Accessories...do an annual purge. Belts, handbags, scarves - keep only what use use, get rid of what you don't.
Utilizing bins, additional shelving, shoe racks and decorative hooks can help keep your closet more organized!
