Digital literacy can be a tremendous blessing—but without the knowledge, skills, or access needed to navigate today’s technology-driven world, it can also become a significant barrier.
From computers and mobile devices to artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, the digital landscape is constantly evolving. That’s why our Click & Connect Program, running now through the 15th, is creating opportunities for youth, adults, and seniors to build the digital skills they need to succeed.
Whether it’s resume development, learning how to leverage AI to strengthen documents, improving computer skills, or accessing online resources, we’re here to help bridge the digital divide.
We are proud to partner with to provide this important resource for our Chicago community. Today was a fantastic day filled with resume assistance, digital learning, and meaningful connections—and we’re just getting started!

Our DSCI members, Victor Quartey and John Adeniyi, presented at the Maryland Collegiate STEM Conference at CCBC Essex, a premier conference for community college faculty and students.
Their session, “Learning, Leading, and Serving: The Power of Community Tech Centers,” highlighted the importance of their work in expanding access to technology, building technical skills, and strengthening community engagement.
They’re helping close the digital divide by working directly with the community to improve access and support, while bringing those real experiences back into academic spaces to advance the conversation on digital equity.

Refugee children, primarily from Sudan, are gaining access to education and technology through CETAT’s programs in Cairo, bridging the digital divide for underserved populations. Volunteering with CETAT is a meaningful way to make a real impact—whether by supporting programs on the ground, providing resources, or sharing your skills to help these children thrive. Special thanks to Emaka Peter from African Hope and Chickaro Martin, a community wellness advocate who introduced us to African Hope and has led many successful programs with organizations like the African Hope Learning Center.
