Our vision is to have a Maryland that is free from any trace of unlawful discrimination. Commission members are appointed to serve six-year terms.

The Maryland Commission on Civil Rights (MCCR) represents the interest of the State to ensure equal opportunity for all through enforcement of Titles 19 and 20, State Government Article (formerly Article 49B) of the Annotated Code of Maryland and the State’s Commercial Non-Discrimination Policy.
