Sunny Rye is back as the rye special! It's 100% Danish style rye with sunflower seeds. It features sprouted rye berries, rye starter, and rye flour. We recommend it sliced thinly for open faced sandwiches. ☀️🌾🌻

We got our hands on some einkorn! It's been a tough season for einkorn from the immediate surrounding region, so we broadened our horizon and ordered from a grower in Missouri. It's beautiful stuff and we mixed it with spelt this week for a loaf we're calling Speinkorn. PA einkorn will be back this summer, and as always, we're doing all that we can to bake local, whole grain, and sourdough 💥🌾❤️

Oak Spring is a small organic vegetable farm in Freeland, Maryland, run by Erika Roan and Adam Mihalik. They're experienced farmhands who are venturing out with much wisdom on their own enterprise. Adam and Russell first met about 15 years ago while farming together at in Southern Maryland.

Their work is grounded in the same things we care about: attention to process, respect for ingredients, and a commitment to building something steady, authentic and local.

Their CSA runs from May through November. Shares are flexible and customizable, with options for different household sizes and rhythms, along with add-ons like eggs, cheese, and fruit.

Pickup will be at the storefront on Saturdays: an easy way to bring good vegetables into your week alongside your bread.

Adam will be at the bakery on Saturday to chat about the CSA and we'll have savory danish featuring their arugula with first of the region's asparagus.

This Saturday! Come enjoy spring blooms as part of the annual Guilford Ave Cherry Blossom Stroll. There will be crafts, live music, make-your-own-bouquets, and treats from the bakery. We'll also have special edition naturally tie-dyed (by .lightjunction) cherry blossom Motzi tees on special! 🌸☺️🌷
