Collegetown held the closing celebrations for the 2026 Sophomore Externship Experience program on Tuesday at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School with program partners from CollegeBound Foundation, BGE, Under Armour, and Whiting-Turner in attendance. Each student presented their capstone project that showcased their talents, career interests, and hard work throughout the summer.

The SEE students enjoyed a presentation on how to make the most of their upcoming sophomore year with . They learned practical tips through reflecting on their freshman year to prepare them for the year ahead.

For the second week of the SEE Program, our students visited with Whiting-Turner and learned the ins-and-outs of the construction industry from a major Baltimore-based employer. Externs were able to get a first-hand look at construction management and a multitude of backgrounds, career paths, and majors that have helped strengthen the region, and an insight into service learning opportunities in the city!

MTA Ride & Seek is a citywide scavenger hunt happening July 10–12 that invites participants to discover local destinations using public transit.

Ride & Seek Scavenger Hunt is a free, multi-day activity happening July 10–12, 2026, where you can explore Baltimore using local bus, Light Rail, and Metro Subway while solving clues and earning points through the Eventzee app.

The SEE Program students visited BGE to get a hands-on look at one of Baltimore's largest employers. Under the theme "utility innovations at work", students learned everything that BGE does to keep the region powered, both on-the-ground and in the office. Thank you to BGE for hosting us!

Collegetown welcomed this year's SEE Program cohort this week! ✨️

Our externs went on a scavenger hunt with Collegetown, collaborated in workshops for money management, LinkedIn, resume boosting, networking, and thriving in professional environments, participated in service projects with Art With a Heart and Third Space, and met our program and community partners at our welcome lunch. It's going to be a great summer! ☀️
