🌿 How to Know When Stress Is Taking a Toll on You

As the year winds down, many of us feel the weight of change — deadlines, family plans, finances, and the shift into colder, darker months. Stress is a natural part of life, but when it begins to control your energy, mood, and relationships, it may be a sign that your body and mind need extra support.

🚸 Everyday Situations — Healthy vs. Unhealthy Stress Responses
1. Morning Chaos
Healthy stress: You’re focused, slightly rushed, but once things settle — you can breathe again and move on with your day.
Unhealthy stress: Your heart races before the day even starts. You yell, shut down, or carry irritability for hours afterward.
2. Relationship Friction
Healthy stress: You can disagree respectfully, communicate calmly, and problem-solve together.
Unhealthy stress: Arguments escalate quickly, communication shuts down, or you internalize resentment and mistrust.
3. Financial Strain
Healthy stress: You acknowledge frustration but seek solutions — budgeting, talking to someone, or taking small, steady actions.
Unhealthy stress: You avoid opening bills, feel ashamed to talk about money, or blame yourself or others instead of problem-solving.
