Once a quarter, during Eagle in Exile Sundays, Mixers transforms from your favorite q***r nightlife spot, into something a little more… instructive.

Mixers Kink Academy is an educational experience built for the leather, kink, and q***r communities—whether you’re brand new, quietly curious, or deeply experienced and looking to refine your craft. This is a space where questions are welcome, exploration is encouraged, and learning happens without judgment.

Expect a rotating lineup of workshops, demos, and discussions led by trusted local educators, seasoned players, and community leaders.

The vibe stays true to Mixers—welcoming, affirming, and unapologetically q***r—while centering education, harm reduction, and real connection. Come to learn. Stay to connect. Leave more confident than you arrived.

Canes: Who Says They Have To Hurt?

Bio: Angelo DiMarino has been part of the leather community for the past 20+ years. He enjoys taking the time to educate people about kink, kink safety, and being part of the Leather Community. He is Husbear to pup River, and Head of Household for the Fellowship of the Fidgets. Feel free to hit him up for a scene to remember.

Description: We will be discussing the history and use of canes, caning safety, types of canes, and caning techniques. We'll also discover some fun games to do with canes.

Flogging 201: Timing, Technique & Two-Handed Flow
Bio: Madame Tak is a sadistic sweetheart, with a strikingly versatile approach to making each scene as unique as those in it. She's a proud member of several clubs, including being a Vixxens Leather Club Founding Fox and a Mid-Atlantic Rubber Club board member. In her time managing Club Orpheus, she ran multiple fe**sh nights monthly, served on the board for Cyrenaics and BESS, while also providing kink education and demos throughout the DMV. With a deep dedication to Community, her passion and commitment to others is clear, while her skills, sharp tongue and wit have been used for classes, demonstrations, kidnappings, podcasts and in wet dreams coast to coast.

Description: We'll explore how timing and rhythm influence sensation, communication, and scene dynamics, along with therapeutic approaches to flogging that emphasize relaxation, stress relief, and body awareness through intentional technique. Students will also learn the foundations of two-handed flogging, including coordination, flow, accuracy, and transitioning between patterns to create a more fluid experience with a hands-on, technique-focused class with opportunities to practice and receive feedback in a supportive, consent-centered environment.

Join us for the third installment of our l**e wrestling tournament. All proceeds will go to the winning club’s choice of charity!

It’ll be a slippery night to remember! Doors open at 3pm & wrestling starts at 5pm! You don’t want to miss this!

Join the Bears of Maryland every 2nd Saturday for a night made for bears, admirers, and friends. Expect good vibes, great company and hairy bellies as they take over the night.

We want to address a situation that has unfortunately become public regarding a former member
of the Mixers staff.

Following the end of their employment with Mixers, a former employee accessed and posted from the Mixers page without the knowledge or permission of ownership. Because statements were made using our business page and the situation has now been brought into a public space, we feel it is necessary to respond.

Any decision to end a person’s employment at Mixers is not made suddenly, lightly, or because of a single incident. Terminations only occur after management has made multiple attempts to resolve those concerns with an employee. Further, any time an employee reports harm inflicted by a customer while acting in the employment of our bar, the offender is immediately banned
from Mixers. If concerns are raised regarding inappropriate behavior that is inflicted by another employee, those situations are addressed and appropriate disciplinary actions taken. If any incident requires contacting authorities, proper authorities are contacted.

We care deeply about the community that has grown around Mixers and wish all the best for this former employee. We will continue to lead with empathy while also making the difficult decisions necessary to keep Mixers functioning as a safe, welcoming, and sustainable space.
