Our inaugural Professional Restorations Crush Bar was a HUGE hit at the Maryland Multi-Housing Association Golf Tournament! We had an absolute blast serving up fresh Maryland crushes (classic orange, orange creamsicle, grapefruit, & watermelon crushes 😋) catching up with familiar faces, and making plenty of new connections along the way.

MEET THE CREW: MICHELLE MACIE 💜
Please meet, Michelle Macie, our Senior Billing, Revenue & Customer Services Specialist, and an important part of Professional Restorations for more than eight years.

A Baltimore native with a few adventures living in California, Florida and Virginia along the way... Michelle says her favorite part of her job is simple: helping people solve problems. And that’s exactly what she does.

Michelle gets things done. If Michelle knows the answer she is on it, and if she doesn’t know the answer, she finds the right person, asks the right expert questions, finds resolution quickly, and gets the momentum going again so everyone can move forward, clients & crew!

She’s especially proud of helping lead Professional Restorations’ transition toward becoming a paperless company—something she credits to the teamwork of everyone involved and our mutual commitment to our crew and clients 24/7~365!!!

There’s a huge difference between simply working alongside people and working alongside people you and your clients know have your back. Michelle brings that energy to our front office every day. Her kindness, dependability and willingness to help create a ripple effect that reaches our crews, our clients and ultimately everything we do.

It is not rocket science, but it is not easy, and not everyone can do it...so when Michelle, as well as, all of our front office specialists deliver every day, no matter what...we understand at the core that this is what dedication looks like, and we could not be any more grateful!!!

Outside of work, Michelle loves spending time with her kids and grandkids—and here’s something you might not expect: she loves making balloon sculptures...and she is quite talented at it to boot! 🎈

Happy 35th Anniversary, SAW!

Thirty-five years ago today, Scott Alan Walper (“SAW”) began his journey with Professional Restorations—not as President, but as a Field Technician. He rolled up his sleeves, worked countless long hours, earned the trust of clients through hard work and consistency, and quickly proved that he was someone who could help shape the future of the company.

Recognizing his work ethic and leadership potential, Professional Restorations’ founder and owner, Jerry Sellman, invited SAW to help envision what the company could become beyond carpet and flooring cleaning. That mentorship would change the course of the business forever.

In 1993, SAW traveled to Florida to earn the IICRC certifications that allowed Professional Restorations to become nationally credentialed in water damage mitigation and mold remediation. He brought that expertise back to our headquarters in Maryland, helping transform the company into the commercial disaster recovery leader it is today.

But he didn’t stop there.

SAW helped expand Professional Restorations’ capabilities into fire and smoke restoration, biohazard and trauma scene cleanup, deodorization, pet damage remediation, disaster response equipment, and the full suite of 24/7/365 emergency services our commercial clients rely on every day. He also understood something just as important: great companies are built by great people.

Over the years, he surrounded himself with teammates who shared the same values—integrity, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to doing the right thing. About 17 years ago, SAW was asked to lead Professional Restorations as President, and he’s continued building on the culture that was instilled in him through the mentorship he received from Jerry Sellman.

Ask SAW what has been the single greatest contributor to his success, and he’ll tell you it was the mentorship, guidance, trust, and opportunity he was given early in his career. Jerry saw a champion in SAW—and because of that, SAW has spent decades seeing the champion in others.

Today, we’re incredibly proud of the amazing people who make up the Professional Restorations family. What makes us different isn’t just our equipment, certifications, or capabilities, it’s our people. We suit up. We show up. We do what we say we’re going to do. We take care of our clients, our teammates, and our community. That’s the culture SAW continues to lead every single day.
