Azaria + Ross invited their closest family and friends to celebrate their marriage over an incredible dining experience at Citron in Baltimore.

Emerald details. Signature cocktails. Disposable cameras. A playlist they created together. An old-fashioned telephone filled with messages from the people they love. And a dinner so good you could hear compliments to the chef around the room. 😂

Before the celebration began, we stole away for portraits by the water and a quiet walk through the trees, giving these two a few moments to simply enjoy being newlyweds. 🤍

For the Durant family's annual session, that meant meeting us on the basketball court! With sports being such a big part of their lives and Dad being an incredible basketball coach here in Baltimore. It couldn't have been a better fit!

We ran. We laughed. We shot some hoops. And somewhere in between, we documented another year of this beautiful family growing together.

At this point, we don't even feel like their photographers anymore. We feel like family. 🥹

It’s difficult to put into words the impact of a career that has helped shape not only museums, but the way we understand, preserve, and experience our collective history.

Congratulations, Secretary Lonnie G. Bunch III, on nearly four decades of extraordinary service to the .

From helping preserve the objects that tell the story of America, to taking what was once a dream and building the NMAAHC, to becoming the first African American and first historian to serve as Secretary of the Smithsonian.

Your fingerprints are forever woven into the way this nation remembers itself.

But beyond the titles, buildings, collections, and accomplishments is something even greater: the generations of historians, museum professionals, storytellers, and visitors who see history differently because of your work.

Your value is immeasurable.

It has been an immense honor to meet you, learn from you, and have the privilege of photographing you throughout the years. As a photographer who believes deeply in preserving our stories, I don’t take those moments lightly.

And just last month in Philadelphia, it was incredible to watch you speak life into hundreds of historians and museum professionals at the Association of African American Museums conference. To witness a room full of people listening, learning, and being challenged to continue the work felt especially meaningful.

I know they left carrying pieces of that wisdom with them and that they will continue the work in their own museums, communities, institutions, and corners of the world.

Perhaps that is one of the greatest measures of a legacy: not only what you built, but what you inspired others to keep building.

Thank you for reminding us that history isn’t simply something we look back on. It helps us understand who we are, and it shapes what we leave behind.

Congratulations on 38 remarkable years, Secretary Bunch.

What a legacy. And what a gift to have witnessed even a small part of it. 🖤

What a way to close out an incredible week in Philadelphia. 🤎

I had the honor of joining the Association of African American Museums for the African American Museum in Philadelphia’s 50th Anniversary Jubilee! A beautiful evening celebrating our history, our culture, and our future.

As the sun set over the city, generations gathered for food, fellowship, Black history, Philly traditions, and incredible music. And somehow, I found myself camera in hand photographing Marsha Ambrosius, an artist I’ve admired for decades. 🥹

There are moments when I’m reminded just how special this work is. Preserving the people, institutions, and celebrations carrying our stories forward will always mean something deeper to me.

Congratulations to the African American Museum in Philadelphia on 50 years. Here’s to the history already preserved and all the history still being made. 🤎
