I experimented with some non-traditional lighting for my shoot with Sydney the other day. In addition to my bread-and-butter softbox lighting, I dusted off the snoot and the beauty dish.

I got out of the studio for an outdoor shoot in DC a few weeks ago, photographing a bunch of playwrights for the Jewish Community Center.

I made this portrait of Sydney by stitching together about 50 different images in Photoshop. I love that with this technique you don't know exactly what you are going to get when you throw the images together. Reminds me of the days when I shot film and we would have interesting accidents all the time. Sometimes the photo you took when you hit the shutter button with your elbow was the best one on the roll.
