We’re excited to announce an upcoming Regional Training Event on October 8th, sponsored by Industrial Scientific and hosted by the North Metro HMRT in Minnesota.

The Meter Guys will be presenting our flagship When Meters Matter air-monitoring program — built for responders who need to do more than simply turn on a meter and wait for it to alarm.

When Meters Matter takes responders beyond the numbers on the screen and focuses on understanding what the meter is actually telling you — and what it may not be telling you.

Through hands-on training, real-world discussions, and practical exercises, we’ll dig into:

• Gas detection and sensor technology
• O₂, LEL, and toxic gas monitoring
• Sensor limitations and cross-sensitivities
• Calibration, bump testing, and fresh-air setup
• Understanding changing atmospheric conditions
• Interpreting readings instead of simply reacting to alarms
• Making better operational decisions based on meter data

This is street-smart meter training for America’s first responders.
