We are in Countdown Mode to the Walk for Libertas from WDC to Baltimore. We start at a special place and end at Lake Montebello BUT even more importantly I am hosting a 12-hour virtual Freedom School: every hour, we drop another Black History Resource.
Follow up and get educated — learning and sharing our history is a form of Resistance.

Today I had the absolute pleasure to take the students of my Backpack Journalism
Program (it is a one year program that teaches 7th graders how to use cameras, recorders, and editing tools to write and tell their Own stories) along with their schoolmates from Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys (a wonderful school!) to tour Fort McHenry.
They have been studying Civics and History for the past year and nothing made me feel prouder than to hear their questions about America, the Revolutionary War, and the lack of information about the Black men who fought and died during this War.

The TN GOP just removed all the Democrats, including all the Black Representatives, from any committee they served on.
Sending a shout out to our comrades Justin Jones, Justin Pearson, Charlane Oliver, Gloria Johnson, Aftyn Behn, and every other democrat in the state.
Tuesday’s move shows Tennessee Republicans are not only defending the gerrymander — they’re now targeting the Democrats who resisted it.
For nearly 2 million Tennesseans represented by House Democrats, the result could be immediate as lawmakers are stripped of committee seats where legislation is shaped, debated and advanced before reaching the full House.
The MAGAKKK is indeed alive and well in Tennessee.
