We stopped by Johnston Square Elementary to celebrate and highlight just a few educators diligently guiding and shaping the young minds of our tomorrow. While Teacher Appreciation Week has ended we know that the work that they do never does! Day 2: If you’re from Baltimore then you’ve been to the Great Blacks in Wax Museum at least once….For me, the first time was in elementary school and the basement level scared me to death 😂😩😩 Proud to say as an adult walking in hits different. You understand differently, so it allows you to appreciate it in a completely different way. Touring with Dr. Martin and hearing the stories of how she and her husband defied all odds to ensure that our history was preserved is nothing short of amazing….Black History is American History ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

Entering into Black History Month I can’t help but to mention this amazing tour through the Afro Archives. We were able to view old photos and newspaper layouts, shown the process of digitizing photos and more. Cannot express enough how grateful I was to be in the room. Love seeing our history ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

“Charles St 2023” - Had this in the vault…Leaving an event with the Senator, Mr. Cleaven was sitting outside of the Starbucks playing and of course I pulled out my camera to capture it. He invited me over and we had a nice conversation about music and the arts. If you ever see him playing walk up and just hello, it’ll go a long way I promise
