🎙️ Tech Talks: Guess the Breed Edition! 🐶😂
We gave Amie and Jocelyn one simple task: identify the dog breeds.
Simple… in theory. 🤭
Some guesses were spot on, others were creative, and a few had us questioning how many cups of coffee were involved that day ☕😂

👂 Ever wondered what’s actually happening inside your pet’s ears? Today, we’re taking you behind the microscope (and into surgery!) to show you three common ear conditions we see in veterinary medicine 🩺🔬
💉 First up: Aural hematoma repair
An aural hematoma happens when blood collects between the layers of the ear flap, often after vigorous head shaking or scratching caused by an ear infection or ear mites. Surgery helps drain the blood and allows the ear to heal properly while preventing long-term deformity.
🦠 Next: Yeast ear infection
That slide full of tiny purple, peanut-shaped organisms? That’s yeast! Yeast naturally lives on your dog’s skin and in their ears, but when it overgrows, it can lead to a painful ear infection. Dogs with yeast infections often have itchy ears, redness, a strong odor, and dark, waxy discharge.
🕷️ Finally: Ear mites
These tiny parasites live inside the ear canal and feed on skin debris and ear wax. They’re highly contagious (especially among cats, but dogs can get them too!) and can cause intense itching, head shaking, and that classic dark, crumbly “coffee grounds” discharge.
Healthy ears should be clean, comfortable, and odor-free. If your pet is constantly scratching, shaking their head, or has smelly ears, don’t wait!It could be their way of telling you something isn’t right 🐶🐱

Sebastian would like everyone to know that he is, in fact, a perfect cat.
Not our words… his. He literally said it. 😹
Sebastian came in for his yearly wellness exam and routine blood work. He was polite, cooperative, and made sure everyone in the room knew he deserved a gold star (and probably extra treats).
The diagnosis? ✔️ Perfect patient
The blood work? ✔️ Worth doing every year
The confidence? ✔️Off the charts
Even if your pet also believes they’re perfect, yearly wellness exams and blood work are one of the best ways to catch health changes before they become bigger problems.
Now excuse Sebastian while he goes home to tell the other cats how easy he made it look.
