Ms. Cash was an arts advocate, an entrepreneur, an artist, and an inspiration. Her love, kindness, and support of teaching artists, artists, and the children of Baltimore city will ring on always.

I was a Marshall at this weekend’s No Kings Protest. Our right to peacefully gather and protest is codified in our First Amendment, and I felt hopeful expressing this right with fellow Americans.

However, I am also aware more needs to be done than standing on the side of the road, so I have been doing what I can to build bridges and support individual and community projects.

I challenge all of us to find places where we can work towards internal and external peace by being bearers of Love wherever we go.

Let’s do our best not to get stuck in anger, yet rather let’s allow ourselves to feel angry then move through it towards constructive and positive actions towards Peace.
