LDD provides development tools, learning opportunities, discussion groups, peer coaching and mentorship opportunities to all library leaders of Maryland.

Managing a library is a challenge in the best of times so it's nice to have backup. Maryland's libraries deserve the finest possible leaders, and LDD is here to help. Our bimonthly meetings provide opportunities to network with library leaders from around the state, while our programs offer managers the chance to enhance their skills.

Some states are changing the laws that govern community libraries At a time of concern about book banning, states are passing laws to tighten control over public libraries. The laws address how libraries are managed and some laws may open librarians to legal action.
