Our Junior Bach Program spring concert on Friday, May 12 at 2:30pm at Peabody Conservatory is be part of the May 2023 Baltimore Peace Promise Weekend!

The goal of a Peace Promise Weekend is to give Baltimore opportunities to notice, uplift, nurture, share, and bask in the peace that already exists within each of us and throughout our city.

This biannual concert is always a peaceful (and incredibly joyful!) occasion. Join us as we share brand-new music by some of Baltimore's youngest composers! No tickets required, and the event is free and open to all.

Baltimore Peace Movement The Baltimore Ceasefire Movement's vision for Baltimore is to commit to zero murders. We are manifesting this vision by calling quarterly ceasefire weekends.

Friday's Junior Bach Program Fall Concert at the Peabody Conservatory will be dedicated to the memory of Julian Fruh (front row, second from left in the photo below). Julian was part of our program in the spring of 2018, when he was an eighth grader at the Saint Ignatius Loyola Academy in Baltimore. He wrote a terrific piece of music called "Beginner's Luck," which we'll be sharing at the beginning of tomorrow's show. It was a privilege to know and make music with Julian, and I hope you can join us in honoring him.

Thanks to all who tuned in live, and to the Peabody Conservatory student-teachers and the Bergamot Quartet for their excellent mentoring and performances!
