I mentioned in my stories that I’m finally getting back to Poppy & Casteel with Primal of Blood and Bone, but I have a question for my fellow lovers of FBAA/FAF—

Did anyone else struggle to get through Primal!? Because ooooooooomagait am I having a hard time for a PLETHORA of reasons, but ugh. I’m moving at a snails pace through it and I know it’ll turn around but 300 pages in and I’m just FRUSTRATED at these damn characters and the wordiness of the writing a bit if I’m being honest. Casteel, Poppy, Kiernan and the MF Arae have me all sorts of pi**ed off and it makes me a little 🔪.

Anywhore— I’m committed once again but I just needed to be dramatic about it first.

May your coffee be strong and your pages spread easily 😏....

A book series I can never recommend enough:
The Vicious Lost Boys by

A Peter Pan retelling that delivers the heat and will change how you think of Neverland and the characters you think you know.
— I’m not mad or sorry about it one bit. 🙂‍↔️

Each MMC brings a level of spice to them that is so delicious, you’ll lick the plate clean and ask for second helpings.
The story is easy to follow between the Darling and her time with these men in a strange land she comes to call home; complete with a cliffhanger here and there that will have you tangled with shadows in the vines 😏.

If you *really* want to dial it up, snag the audiobooks and let obliterate your ear holes because my gawd 🥵

**and if you’re STILL clamoring for more, the Devour series is at the ready; ready to keep you sat. ..

I have been long overdue for a post and today just felt right 😏

🍂 Hello November. 🍂

Casually saying good-bye to my spooky season and welcoming the Fall, the turning of leaves and sky and embracing all the warm, comfort things.

But first, I never paid proper respect to The Night Court edition of ACOTAR I got from my mum as an early birthday present. I’m not normally one to do any sort of special edition of books I love, but I feel like we can all agree the black covers, black sprayed edges and embossed silver font just scream AK.

So, I do believe a re-read is in order. 🙂‍↕️

I had planned to write a lil’ review for each of these but alas, where does the time go?

Allow me to point you towards Gothikana and Enigma by . Both are dark academia with character engaging storylines that just melted me with yearning and passion wedded to lust and devotion.

The books themselves are STUNNING. I won’t even sugarcoat that Gothikana steals the show for cover design but Enigma lands on character art you get at the very beginning of the book. Both feature sprayed edges, black & white photography laced with quotes from other recognizable stories such as Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Bram Stoker’s Dracula to notable play-writes and authors like William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens and Edgar Allen Poe.
I absolutely adored each of the FMC’s, Corvina and Salem, who carry with them pieces I found myself relating to and I feel like many of us would. I refuse to elaborate too much because it would take away from your reader experience. 😏

Whether you are looking to end your spooky season or find a Fall season comfort read, if these are not already on your TBR; add them. Trust me when I say go in blind; it will make each book so much more enticing.

My book posts are becoming few and far between because life has been incredibly busy for me; and that’s ok! Reading is my hobby and a way to decompress, not a race or competition of pages to who can read more books in a year.
So today, I kicked off a buddy read with my friend and I’m super excited to get into this one!!
This book is absolutely beautiful through and through! The dust jacket, the hardcover and the internal pages plus paired with the purple sprayed edges it is just *chefs kiss*

I’ve had this book for waaaay too long and to finally be reading it feels like a small accomplishment! 😝

This trend was fun but a lot harder than I thought it would be 😅

I definitely struggled narrowing it down and left out so many (like gaming, anime, music, tv shows) but this was a decent start.

Moth to a Flame by Eva Marks

I had the absolute honor to ARC read Moth to a Flame and here’s what you need to know: just read it. The end.
(Kidding)

Regan Everglow has had to live with her nightmare for years and now in her adulthood, finds herself on a dating website to live out her fantasy to try to help heal from the trauma from her youth. What she DOESN’T know, is the man who owns said website is a tastefully wicked stalker who will do all he can to ensure HE is the one to tend to her wounds and no one else.

Enter Landon Sterling.
[The name absolutely sounds as sexy as he does.] He is tactical, cunning and adorably possessive which only adds to his unhinge of what lengths he will go to to make Regan his and ensure she knows who she belongs to.

While their story does feel a bit “instant love” it still very much isn’t; simply a when-you-know-you-just-know and it WORKS. It’s deep, intense and incredibly emotional. Their relationship is anything but boring and takes flight early on to capture the way Landon shows Regan the love and tenderness she needs while delivering an absolute filthy rendition of her fantasies to get her to a peaceful place and finding herself without the shadow of trauma over her.

With subtle banter, a relatable FMC like Regan and horror movie references fans will adore; this is your next read. My heart was shredded with these character’s and their complexity they bring to the story. To me, it was a beautiful way to honor SA survivors and show there IS life and love to be had after and it’s possible to still have a HEA, if not in the most traditional way, and that you and your body are worth loving in all seasons.
Cannot recommend it enough.

Saturday Shelfie… but it’s me low key telling you to read these two series (IN. THIS. ORDER.) because it lives in my head rent free and I don’t think I’ll ever stop gushing about how .more.chapter.tk made me a JLA fan and reader. I was halfway into From Blood and Ash and knew I needed the rest of the series stat and made it my mission to get all the trophies! Hence why she has her own shelf because it’s deserved.

All of that and well, because Casteel and Nyktos. 🫠
