Hello Pot Pie Nation,
What a beautiful weekend Maryland was gifted, snuck in right in the middle of the dog-days-of-summer. The mild weather brought the crowds out in droves to Maryland's wonderful farmers' markets this weekend. Many were picking up their giant watermelons, sourdough loaves and of course, our delicious pot pies. As expected, the Smoked Brisket, with its piles of delicious beef and just the right amount homemade BBQ sauce was the most popular variety.

Hello Pot Pie Nation! Finally, something to love in DC, Chef Dad is in NW DC with an amazing pot pie selection, including the much anticipated SMOKED BRISKET BBQ BEEF.
I smoked the brisket for 8 hours in mesquite and i made a homemade bbq sauce and I could not be happier with the result.

The Tomato Margherita is getting rave reviews and has been selling like Jagermeister at a frat party!
The Maryland grown tomatoes and basil this year are better than ever (thanks global warming). The local farmers have done all sthe work I simply roast the tomatoes with garlic, kosher salt and olive oil. The roasted tomatoes then get a generous chunk of creamy fresh mozzarella and with whole milk ricotta cheese then into the tasty pastry and the end result is beyond delicious.

I already know your plans for today; you’re going to drop by the Farmers Market and Shop for your epic World Cup spread. This is officially the first day I’ve seen corn watermelon, tomatoes, and green beans at the farmers market, it must be the middle of summer.
