We began in a rowhome in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood with a vision shared by Jamie Pett, John Hutch, and Gordon Godat. Together, they set out to build something different- an architecture and design firm rooted in relationships, collaboration, and exceptional service.

Twenty years later, JP2 Architects has grown far beyond that small office, but the values that inspired our founders on day one remain unchanged.

These were just a few of the inspiring takeaways our team gathered at last week's Developers Lounge Fireside Chat, hosted at Spark Flex Baltimore, a creative flex space designed by The Verve Partnership (now JP2 Architects).

The panel featured two longtime clients and project partners, Thibault Manekin of Seawall and Armstead Jones of Imagine Think Tank, with Perry Mahle of Whiting-Turner serving as moderator. The conversation explored navigating complex projects, finding fulfillment in your work, maintaining work-life balance, and sharing knowledge to strengthen our communities.

Being able to listen to a candid conversation between people we've worked closely with, while sitting in a space our team helped bring to life, made the evening especially meaningful. Moments like these remind us why thoughtful design, collaboration, and strong partnerships matter.

With more than two decades of experience leading complex and transformative projects, Dymond brings a unique combination of design excellence, technical expertise, and collaborative leadership that aligns seamlessly with JP2’s mission to create purposeful, people-centered spaces.
Dymond is recognized for delivering outstanding projects through creative problem-solving, thoughtful project management, and a deep understanding of client needs. His expertise spans commercial office buildings, master planning, education, government, and highly customized “one-off” projects that demand both innovation and precision.

Last week, we shared the stunning horizontal views of Opal Apartments Largo Station, but these vertical shots deserved a moment of their own. ✨

In case you missed it: Opal Apartments Largo Station is our recently completed multifamily project spanning 570,000+ square feet and featuring 378 thoughtfully designed units. Between the residences and the shared amenity spaces, the design feels light with soft curves defining each space. Natural wood tones and rich colors create a calming, dreamlike atmosphere that encourages rest and renewal.

The JP2 team had an unforgettable evening at the 2026 Mid Atlantic Premiere Design Awards celebrating the talent, innovation, and energy that continue to shape our design community.

From the vibrant “Color Your World” theme to the incredible venue, inspiring conversations, bold fashion moments, and even aura readings, every detail brought the night to life. 🎨🌃

The heart of JP2 has always been its people, and today we’re proud to highlight one of them.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our Director of Interior Design & Strategic Growth, Kelly Ennis, for being recognized by I95 Business Magazine as a 2026 Woman of Influence recipient.

Kelly’s passion, leadership, and dedication are evident in everything she does. She brings her full energy and commitment to every project, consistently pushing for excellence while inspiring those around her to do the same. Her ability to motivate, encourage, and uplift others is what makes her not only an exceptional leader, but also an incredible teammate and mentor.

We are excited to share the completion of Opal Apartments at Largo Station. This 378-unit multifamily community spans over 570,000+ square feet and redefines connection and everyday living. Located just steps from the metro, it pairs luxury amenities with unmatched convenience.

Curved forms, natural materials, and a serene, dreamlike aesthetic create spaces that restore, inspire, and energize. Every detail was intentionally crafted to blur the lines between work, wellness, and social life, forming a seamless and human-centered ecosystem. From layered gathering zones to effortless circulation, Opal prioritizes adaptability, community, and meaningful interaction, proving that thoughtful design shapes not just spaces, but how we live. 🏙️
