Restoring hope. Rebuilding lives. For over 140 years… and counting! We are a faith based, privately funded, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
We provide programs and services to men and women suffering from homelessness and addiction. Our long-term, residential Spiritual Recovery Program is our flagship. Since 1995, we have helped hundreds of men break the cycle of addiction, poverty, and homelessness. Atlas Restaurant Group has generously offered to sponsor a “Dine to Donate” evening on Tuesday, June 23rd at ChopTank in Fells Point (1641 Aliceanna Street). Atlas will donate 10% of the restaurant’s net sales that evening to Helping Up Mission (HUM). Naturally, the more individuals we can encourage to dine at ChopTank that evening, the greater the financial benefit to HUM. We look forward to seeing you at dinner at ChopTank on June 23rd!
A Nourishing our Neighbors grant, provided by the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation, is helping address food insecurity for local families. The grant also supports Helping Up Mission by helping our neighbors increase their access to nutritious food and providing nutritional education to reduce health risks for those experiencing food insecurity.
