Making the Most of the Tutor Read Aloud
Friday, August 7 from 11 – 12 PM ET

Join our program team for an interactive training where tutors will learn how to turn a simple read aloud into a powerful literacy experience. We’ll explore strategies for reading with expression, asking meaningful questions, building vocabulary, and engaging students before, during, and after reading. Whether you are a new or experienced tutor, this training will provide practical tools to help students build comprehension and a love for reading.

Happy Paperback Book Day! 📚✨ Today, we’re celebrating the power of paperback books for making stories more accessible, affordable, and available to all readers. 💛

At Reading Partners, this same belief lives on through our COVER to COVER series. By writing and publishing our own books, we’re helping ensure students have access to stories that reflect their identities, experiences, and voices. Because every child deserves to see themselves in the books they read.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing students light up while reading these stories! 🤗📖

As July wraps up, it's time to start thinking about the new school year!

Join Reading Partners Mid-Atlantic on August 20 for our Back-to-School Book & Supply Drive at Center City Makerspace.

Next month, we invite families, Reading Partners volunteers, community partners, and literacy champions to join us as we build connections and equip students with the materials they need to feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn! 💙
