On June 27, 2026, Filbert Street Garden will host a community workshop using the spirit of the crab as a reminder that our waters, food traditions, health, and climate futures are deeply connected. This gathering will create space for climate conversation rooted in everyday life across Brooklyn Park, Curtis Bay, North Anne Arundel, and South Baltimore.

Together, we will talk about heat — the kind felt while walking across pavement, waiting at bus stops, working outside, tending gardens, or living in homes without enough cooling. In neighborhoods with less tree canopy, more concrete, and fewer shaded green spaces, heat is not experienced equally.

Join us as we connect food, climate, community data, environmental justice, and collective care.

Join us for our next class in August!!

We really took Big Energy outside! We danced with the roosters crowing, ducks walking by, and goats hanging out like they were part of the class. There aren't many workouts where nature becomes part of the experience. Our first Big Energy in the Garden was a success, and we're just getting started. Join us for the next two sessions: July 11 • 1:00 PM August 18 • 7:00 PM 📍 Filbert Street Garden 1321 Filbert St, Baltimore, MD 21225 FREE to attend. Donations are welcomed upon arrival. Come move, laugh, and experience dance fitness in a way you won't find anywhere else. Bring a friend and let's bring Big Energy back to the garden.
