I had a nice visit to a project from several years ago (11?!) with . This is just one area of a major bedroom renovation in a classy uptown Baltimore home with super clients. We made a steel hearth that wraps around the fireplace and becomes a shelf for media and a fireplace surround in deep dark chocolate concrete. There were matching steel shelves with custom made machined stainless shelf pins. Details all around that make a serene and calm space that has aged very well. There is exception professional work throughout this space. I’m grateful to be involved with places like this.

Sometimes because you make things… you make something for yourself. A vitrine in our studio hallway made of gorgeous walnut and a few bronze screws houses our concrete curiosities and our rubber knockouts for drain systems. You’d have to be a real jerk to make an ugly thing out of walnut.

When your client is a designer and falls in love with concrete… This is a dining table we made for . The legs and top are concrete with a steel frame. The legs were poured vertically to capture the movement of the concrete and the top was handtroweled. Very gratifying to take a piece to a wonderful client and have it surrounded by artwork and furniture and gorgeous PLANTS 🌱 !!

Highlight for me at the studio today. Orioles great and MLB Hall of Famer Eddie Murray stopped in the studio and signed one of our concrete baseballs. What a terrific guy and funny and genuine. He was certainly one of my heroes growing up. Legend. Steady Eddie. Thanks and and .
