This First Friday! Take two - our rescheduled Release Party for the new Criterion Edition Blu-rays of Desperate Living and Hairspray with @chrnclsofmarmia ! Daydreamers, George Figgs and Mary Vivian Pearce will be in attendance! Based in Baltimore, MARMIA is a nonprofit film archive preserving regional film and video from throughout the Mid-Atlantic, and has partnered with the Criterion Collection on many of their John Waters discs. Chat with the MARMIA team as they present a John Waters mixtape featuring highlights from the WJZ Collection (once the home of the Buddy Deane Show, the inspiration for Hairspray). Signed copies will be available for purchase at the event. Plus, snacks! #atomicbooks

Sneak peek of upstairs, the new 2nd floor of Atomic. Yes, it used to be a bowling alley forever ago! You can see where the pins were set. It's been 6 months since we lost our original Instagram account. We've only gained back a fraction of our followers. But who cares? We've put in less effort on our socials because it doesn't matter and it could all disappear again. We were in shock for a bit from the loss, but in the end it's meant nothing to our bottom line. Keep that in mind, small business folks. Don't sweat your socials. We only started this because it was for fun. We have new followers and a lot less bots. We're still bummed that we've lost years of photos, though. Luckily we still have flickr and other back ups. Onwards and upwards (literally). #atomicbooks
