To make everybody happy think that I would need a clone, guess the moral of the story is I’m better off alone

This picture was taken at The Brazil house in Ghana.

Brazil House is an important part of history for the Afro-descendants of Brazil. Many enslaved Afro-Brazilians escaped and sailed back to West and Central Africa between 1829 to 1836, over 50 years before slavery ended in Brazil. The chief of the Ga people in Ghana gave them asylum land in Jamestown, Ghana. President Lula helped reconstruct this house as a symbol of pride for Afro descendants of Brazil.

Due to the linguistic differences between the formerly enslaved being enslaved in a Portuguese system and the Ghanaians being colonized under an English and the former Brazilians became known as the “ Ta Bom people” Ta Bom is “ok good” in Portuguese which was one way people communicated after being separated.

Nobody can take your humanity and your connection to your people from you.

Eles querem ser nós. (Friday)
