The 102 acre development will include 1,600 residential units, substantial office and commercial space, and approximately 470,000 square feet of large-format and smaller-scale retail, restaurants, fitness, and neighborhood services. The Home Depot, along with Sprouts Farmers Market and Landmark Theatre will anchor the project, supported by an upgraded transit center designed for robust bus service and future Bus Rapid Transit, positioning Lakeforest as a regional model for transit-oriented, lifestyle-focused redevelopment.

The ambulatory infusion company signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation for 2,962 square feet of space at the 126,304 square foot lifestyle center situated at 3103 Valley Avenue and plans to open in March. A pair of commercial real estate brokerages have been making moves recently, with a local firm expanding westward and a Maryland firm bolstering its Richmond presence.

Range Commercial Partners, a Henrico-based brokerage that launched in 2023, has opened an office in Charlottesville. The firm is leasing space in the Apex Plaza building, just a few blocks from Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall.

Meanwhile Segall Group, a retail-focused brokerage out of Baltimore, recently moved into a new Richmond office as it enlarges its local headcount.
