Our Therapeutic Integration Music Camp is officially set up and ready to welcome an incredible group of young musicians. We’re looking forward to a week of creativity, connection, confidence-building, and fun through music. 💙

We’re excited to announce the Back to School Cookout hosted by Hit Me With Music Foundation!

Join us for a day filled with music, food, vendors, and community as we celebrate the end of summer and gear up for a strong school year ahead. We’ll have on the music along with live performances throughout the event, bringing great energy and entertainment all day long.

We’ll also be hosting a 50/50 raffle and a backpack giveaway to support local students as they head back to school. We are currently accepting donations to help us provide backpacks and supplies for families in need; every contribution makes a difference.

Vendor opportunities are available for both food and non-food businesses. Come out, support, and be part of something meaningful for the community.

Summer Camp registration is now open at Hit Me With Music Foundation!

Join us for our Therapeutic Integration Music Camp, running June 22–26, from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. This program uses music-based and creative activities to support emotional expression, social development, and personal growth in a structured and supportive environment. Aftercare is available as an optional add-on for families who need extended support.

We provide snacks daily for all participants, and every activity is designed to encourage engagement, confidence, and connection through music and creativity.

Daily reminder!

Music looks different for every child, and that shapes how they engage with learning. In a supportive space, children are not rushed or expected to perform, but given time to explore sound in their own way.

Repetition plays an important role, helping them become more comfortable as they revisit rhythms and ideas over time. Whether they participate right away or take time to observe, each step is part of building confidence and expression through music.

Rhythm is one of the ways children naturally begin to understand structure in music. It creates patterns that can be followed, repeated, and gradually understood over time. In a supportive learning space, rhythm becomes more than sound. It gives children a sense of grounding while they engage with music.

Routine also plays an important role in how children build comfort and confidence. When activities are consistent and familiar, children are able to anticipate what comes next. This can help reduce uncertainty and make it easier for them to participate in their own way. It also allows them to focus less on outcomes and more on the experience itself.

Repetition within rhythm and routine helps children strengthen focus, listening skills, and participation. As they revisit activities, they begin to recognize patterns and respond with more ease. Over time, this builds familiarity and helps them develop their own connection to music.

At HMWM, rhythm and routine are used to create structure, support expression, and meet each child where they are in their learning.

As that number continues to grow, so does the need for spaces where children feel genuinely included.

That’s why the Hit Me With Music Foundation exists. We believe every child deserves access to music programs designed to welcome them as they are.
