So, anyone paying attention might notice the theme this month for The Haunted Palace happens to be great for October but also very, very Italian. One of the big reasons I fell in love with Italian horror has to do with Claudio Simonetti, best known for his work as "The Goblin" for Film maker Dario Argento. Beyond curating my setlist this month to feature more Italian and Italian inspired synthwave in general, I also wanted to show where a lot of it all began, at least for me. Happy spooky season!

So, for people following along from my post about a week ago I am going to change the event status of The Haunted Palace to POSTPONED. We are unfortunately unable to keep our original 8/31 date which has led to some other complications as well. HOWEVER, we are in the process of finalizing a deal with a new venue. More details to be revealed as they become known. For now, thank you everyone for your patience. Hoping very much to deliver some good news in the not too distant future.

To those of you who are curious and people in general I wanted to make a statement regarding the Crown closing. First and foremost I want to thank Kim and the rest of the staff for allowing us the opportunity to run The Haunted Palace in their venue these past few years. Taking a chance on what is ultimately still a niche event and scene and giving it a great home is something I really appreciated and gave me the chance to make the dream of a dedicated synthwave night a reality. I’ll always be grateful for that.

Moving forward, I’ve been speaking to a few venues and looking for a new home for the event with the intent being to keep the 8/31 show date and current guests. It’s hard to make a decision like this on relatively short notice but ultimately I have a good idea of what I think I want in terms of facilities and space and it’s just a matter of making that commitment and making sure it all works out.

Regardless, I’ll be making an update as to our intentions for the event by the end of the week. Hopefully with some exciting news!
