Today is and it’s traditionally the day where you dig in your pockets and give 💵💵💵 to the organizations whose missions are to then give to others.

As a person 👩🏽‍💼who has an organization that does just that.... we spend our efforts giving to others. I’m making a big ask this .

I’m asking you not to give to us, but I’m asking that YOU to give to the others who are in need. I’m asking you to make those connections with your neighbors, your friends and family and to look local this year to offer your help, your giving.

Im asking you all to help fill these voids in our communities. In our homes. So where you can give money, please do so, where you can give food, please do so, and where you can give time, please do so.

This year no amount of your money to our organization can have the impact that rallying all of you... our friends, our family, our. customers, abs our supporters will have.

This year I want you to give to your community/ neighborhood. Really get out there and ask someone “What are you in need of? Is there something I can help you with?” Let’s hold each other in confidence, in care and humanity this year.

This all started as two neighbor bonding in our gardens because we were home... I’ve learned so much about myself. About my neighbors and about my friend We are so thankful, appreciative and astounded by the outpouring of support we have received through these summer and early fall months from everyone. The first photo above... was the first donation we received that wasn’t something we de cluttered from our home. This project alone I believe forged a partnership that will ensue for many years to come. With combined creativity and humor, I swear, we can find the beauty in anything! Come by our last Takoma Park Sale this weekend 10-2.

We are embarking on our last weekend in Takoma Park! Our hearts are filled with gratitude, appreciation, humility and so much more as we have embarked on this journey of giving. From what was a yard sale to get rid of the junk in our homes, to a non-profit supporting our neighborhood in these most difficult of times. We thank you all for your support, patronage and mostly the smiles through the masks. In this most dire of times, we have had the opportunity to create bonds... friendships and lasting connections with neighbors and not so much neighbors. We now call you friends! So to all who have followed us, donated, shopped and visited over the months of our SOCIALLY DISTANT MARKET.... Thank You🙏🏽. There are so many you have helped, and supported in this time. And truly, yes, I’m going to say it again... THANK YOU!
