I was fortunate enough to be featured in two different mediums last month, an interview with Voyage Baltimore, and with the guys in Podcast NV.

But I was struggling to get posts together and share with everyone what I’ve been up to and what the journey has been like as Co.Lab grows. I continue to balance work, music, relationships, and everything else that comes my way along with continuing to grow and pour myself into Co.Lab to make sure it can be fully realized.

This summer I officially published our website for Co.Lab, and have been endlessly reworking and reimagining that site for what it can provide to us as a community and continue to connect us when we can’t be in the same space all the time. It still has plenty of room to grow and I will continue to update it and make whatever changes are necessary to make that our home base.

Most of you don’t know this, but I also created a 14 page handbook based on our successes and failures, as well as a resources kit for ANYONE to be able to run Co.Lab the way we have. I’m in the process of copyrighting this material now and it will be added to our website soon.

I have been having conversations with business professionals and navigating resources to continue to take this to the next level.

Thank you for all of you that have also shared your ideas and areas for growth over the last 1-2 years. This thing would never have gotten this far without all of your support and involvement. We have created a really great model for connect artists personally and creatively, and this is just the start.

Check out the links in the bio for the interviews and website.

I haven't been posting as much as I should about my own gigs and happenings through the social media channels. Most of my energy in that department has been going toward Collaboration Laboratory - an event I started running at the beginning of this year that has been a wonderful adventure as it starts to grow and build more momentum. I encourage all musicians, writers, rappers, singers, to participate in one of our events and any supporter or creative to come and hang out to observe and hear the wonderful music that gets created during these songwriting sessions.

Follow and like to page to keep up to date on events and showcases where we will feature artists that come through our sessions and to help support your favorite artists and writers in the songs they create to be part of our featured collection.

Keep a look out for a website coming soon!

Co.Lab Sessions - Second Cycle is about to start! Sign up for one of the 16 available spots each week and experience what has been called "Speed Dating for Songwriters".

Co.Lab hosts collaborative songwriting sessions that connect musicians, singers, rappers, and writers of all backgrounds into impromptu songwriting groups. These sessions build into showcases that also feature local independent artists.

You will be randomly grouped with up to three other artists for each round and will be given minimal prompts and up to 15 minutes to write a song - as much that you can come up with in that time. At the end of the round, each group will perform their song for the others and then rotate to a new group for a total of four rounds.

Co.Lab held its first session in January 2024, and has been hosting sessions twice monthly, connecting over 50 local musicians and writers. In our first cycle, we featured two collaborative quartets as headlining acts, with four opening sets featuring individual artists. In our new cycle, songs will now be recorded and ranked by your peers each session, and the top 2-3 songs each month will be produced by our hosts at The Watermelon Room.
