I was Diagnosed in 1993 with Anxiety Depression ..I remember sharing the information with some immediate family members and There response was get over it!! "Color" folks don't have Depression I went into Denial that Depression Anxiety even existed cause I trusted them only to have Mental Set backs over the years that I couldn't explain ..
It wasn't until the age of 45 that I reached a level of acceptance that I have a problem and I needed help.
The best thing my Therapist taught me was to talk about the exact nature of my thoughts and feelings regardless of what you thought about me ..
ONLY THEN I BEGAN TO HEAL ONE DAY AT A TIME .. KEEP IN MIND IM STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS BUT IM ON THE RIGHT TRACK ..
