Hamilton Elementary Middle School

Dear Hamilton Families,

This afternoon, our school experienced a false fire alarm that required us to evacuate the building in accordance with our safety procedures. While students and staff were safely outside awaiting clearance to return to the building, a car accident occurred nearby.

We want to assure you that all students and staff remained safe throughout both incidents. Our team followed established safety protocols, and students returned to the building once it was cleared by Baltimore City Fire Department personnel.

Please note that Old Harford Road between Sylvan Avenue and Christopher Avenue remains closed due to the unrelated car accident. We ask for your patience and caution during dismissal as traffic may be affected.

If your child has concerns or questions about the unrelated car accident, please contact the school so we can provide support.

Space is still available in the Summer Arts for Learning Academy (SALA) summer program, a FREE arts camp for Baltimore City Public Schools students in grades Pre-K through 5 at Title I schools. The program runs Monday-Thursday, 8:30-3 from June 29-July 30 at 10 schools across the city. Check out Arts for Learning Maryland for more details.
