‼️‼️🚨Attention🚨‼️‼️

"Soluna Yarn Creations" will now be known as, "Soluna Custom Creations!"

I know that calling myself Soluna YARN Creations doesn't mean I *have* to just limit myself to fiber made products, but I do think the name might make people just assume I'm exclusively selling fiber art.

So now with the new name change, I can sell all sorts of things without as much limitations because I feel like the word "Custom" acts as an umbrella word!

So stay tuned friends and expect to see so many new things as I learn new hobbies! I'll still probably primarily focus on crocheted items, but more stuff will become available soon!

So keep an eye out!

Name: The Angelic Mesh Top 🪽

🕰️Total Time: 14 days (not consecutive)
🧶Yarn: 4 skeins (About 1,260 yards, 680.4g or 24oz) of Caron Simply Soft (100% Acrylic) in color Black
🪡Tools: 8 mm hook, metal darning needle.
📜Pattern: Free-handed it which may or may not be a good thing.

This shirt right here took me SO FREAKING LONG to do because I had to keep frogging and restarting it over and over again. I tried to follow a pattern at first but I hated it. It was a good pattern but it wasn't what Ria (my customer) and myself had discussed. So I decided to just free hand it.

After weeks of fighting for my life with this shirt, I was finally able to finish it. I'm mailing it out tomorrow. This is the first time I've free-handed ANYTHING besides basic stuff like blankets, scarves and bags and your girl is very nervous about it. I made it as perfect as I can though and I'm tentatively proud of myself for attempting to tiptoe out of my comfort zone.

Technique wise, this may not be the most complex pattern ever created, but I'm still impressed with myself. I was able to create AND execute a successful pattern using things I've already previously learned. So maybe this is the very early stage of me beginning to create my own designs 🤷

Anyway, thank-you Ria for commissioning this, I even named it after you 💕🪽 I hope to use your feedback to better execute and develop this shirt so I can revisit it when I've acquired more skills in the future!☺️

Peep Bunnies for our neighborhood friends!

I used some random, chenile yarn I got off Temu in a super hot pink (the camera is making it more coral) and purple.

I definitely like the pink one much more, and the purple one was a little rushed. Once I get some more practice with these, I might feature them in my craft shows next year!

Pattern is "Small Bunny Peep" by Jamy Lyn Art on Etsy.

So I am very excited to announce that I am working on writing my *first* pattern!

I'm still very much in the beginning stages, I have the main idea of what I want it to look like, but I'm not sure how I'm gonna execute it.

I'm VERY excited to make this so I won't reveal too much about it other than it's gonna have tassels 👀!

That being said, I will need pattern testers in the future so please comment if you're interested.

I'm thinking this will be a advanced beginner level project so it won't be too hard!

Name: Ribbed Pocket Cardigan 💜

🕰️Total Time: 14 days (not including over a year long break 🌝)
🧶Yarn: 6 skeins (About 1,506 yards, 852g or 30oz) of Lion Brand Heartland Yarn (Premium Acrylic) in color Kobuk Valley
🪡Tools: 6.5mm hook, metal darning needle.
📜Pattern:

I have very mixed feelings about this sweater. It was meant to be a birthday gift, then a mother's day gift, THEN a birthday gift again for my mother.

I have mixed feelings because I made SO many little mistakes making this sweater. My seams were messy, my stitches have gaps because this was again back when I had just started crocheting again so I was adjusting my tension, I couldn't find a great way to hide my tails and a couple more little things here and there.

I am however, proud of myself for taking on this project because it really tested my patience. I'm somebody who likes instant gratification (which is why you see me doing a lot of smaller projects)but this sweater is definitely not the one to give it to me. I also got to learn how to make a ribbing effect as well which I will definitely be utilizing in future projects!

It felt like as soon as I finished one massive part, I had another equally massive part to do next! But I managed to get through it (even though I did put it down for over a year) and Tammy Baker Cline absolutely loves it, which is the most important part.

I would love to make this sweater again and maybe add some fun motifs like hearts, or polka dots to it!

Let me know what you guys think and be sure to check out the creator's blog!

Name: Skull Cocoon Cardi 🖤

🕰️Total Time: About 2 weeks (minus a year off 😂)
🧶Yarn: 2.5 Skeins (About 897 yards, 495 grams or 17.5oz) of Red Heart Super Saver Acrylic Yarn in color Black
🪡Tools: 6.0 mm hook, metal darning needle.
📜Pattern: Caryns Creations Skull Cocoon Sweater on Etsy

This sweater was meant to be a birthday gift for my sister last year, when I first started crocheting again but was finished and gifted to SarahCstyles this year instead! It was fun picking it back up and seeing a good comparison of how much I've improved in my technique since then. The skull might have a lazy eye, lol but he was super hard and quite the headache to make and I'm very proud of past Susannah for picking a challenging project like this one!

Let me know what you guys think and if you'd like one like this yourself because I would love to remake this again one day!
