Checkerspot Brewing Buys New Building, Will Move a Few Blocks West After four years at 1399 S. Sharp St. in Stadium Area, Checkerspot Brewing Company will move a few blocks west to 1421 Ridgely St. in Carroll-Camden Industrial Area. Checkerspot Brewing Company owners and married couple Judy and Rob Neff purchased the 24,000 sq. ft. building yesterday and will soon....
My man Nick does this better than I ever could, so listen up! We need help!
Hey guys and gals, in an effort to regroup and better serve our customers, we are going to shut down the restaurant this weekend so we can get a grip on all of the catering and food truck work that is coming our way.
Due to our very small staff we are really only able to do one or the other right now, and the numbers point to the truck being the bread winner for the time being. Until we can find additional help, we will be running the truck exclusively and renting out The Hanover as a special event venue for parties and meetings. Hopefully we can find some fine folks to come join the Smoking Swine team so that we can get The Hanover up and running all weekend again, but until we do, we are going to have to shut down.
I'm not very happy about this, but to keep the company going, it has to be done.
I hope you are all happy and healthy and that you understand our motivations.

Hey everyone! Thanks for sticking with us through our little scrape with COVID! We are all back to it, testing negative, and dead set on having a good time this weekend! We hope you can come out for some good old fashioned drinking tonight. $2 off all drinks from 4p-7p, so make sure you take advantage of the happy hour pricing!

Well, we avoided it for a really long time, but it finally got us. One of our crew members tested positive for covid on Tuesday, which puts him 2 days out of the restaurant before any diagnosis. Due to the compartmentalization of our building and our businesses within, There should be 0% chance of any cross contamination into any other business. We are still going to have a cleaning company come in and disinfect all of our surfaces and our kitchen and anywhere else they see fit.
So all of that being said, we are going to be shutting down this weekend. We would like to publicly apologize to all persons and parties that were planning on spending time with us this weekend.
We will re-open on 4/29 at 11am for our regular weekend hours.

You would be mainly taking orders, and making sandwiches, The position requires both. The truck runs a 2-3 person crew depending on location volume. One person will usually make sandwiches and one person takes orders and expedites.
If working in the kitchen of the restaurant, the same applies.
