US Event Photos provides headshot photo lounges with instant Photoshop style touchup, energized green screen photobooths, and experiential photo marketing.
We travel throughout the US, and photographer Logan (Mike) Gatty directs every fast paced shoot. US Event Photos is a rock and roll style, internationally traveling greenscreen and major event photography company that is geeky, creative, passionate, and just a little whacky.
New headshot / Greenscreen / portrait studio is complete. A unique and sophisticated imaging studio in the heart of East Baltimore, it’ll allow me to support — for free— local creatives and artists who qualify under the US Event Photos guidelines. Also from the new studio, I’ve reimagined a podcast space, and plan to relaunch the LGBTQIA+ Playlist as a channel focusing on those same local artists and entertainers, LGBTQIA+ travel destinations, and a what’s happening in nightlife, restaurants and businesses that support our LGBTQIA Community. If you’re a local creative seeking imaging support, reach out. If you’re an LGBTQIA+ business, including restaurants and nightclubs, travel destination, or destination event reach out. Look for the new video and audio podcast soon, and get updates on The Lgbtqia+ Playlist Podcast and VLOG page.

The lights I set yesterday in my new studio aren’t quite right. Close, but not quite right. So I rearranged a few things and will retest tomorrow.
I’ve never had a real studio before. At least not like this. I’ve had a podcast studio, a flex area where I could setup small Greenscreen sets for testing. But, nothing like this! At one side, a traditional background for headshots and modern portraits. A 12’ Greenscreen with floor for digital marketing imaging. Wrap around, remote controlled lighting. Oh, yeah, and a music system. Gotta dance somewhere!

An empty stage is a chapel for the creative artist, and every artist hopes they are Michelangelo about to paint and not Pierce Brosnan about to sing. Sometimes, the stage is a small, worn box, turned on its side, the wheels visible that rolled it in. Sometimes, the stage is huge, a fantastical, magical universe built within its arch that will create a new world for everyone within the theater’s confines. “For five more minutes,” the actor will think, “we’re Six.” Those five minutes will be an infinite blink.
New in house studio is nearly complete. I’m planning on using it to support local creatives in a massive community support project.

The wrapped in Denver Friday; with about 4500 head shots captured. So, what is a tired boy to do? Did someone say “theater”?

The for Loopio continues today— and is was a jammed packed day yesterday, with approximately 2000 headshots captured for their participants. A stunning booth design, this is the last day for these complimentary images.

As I prep to leave for Denver today and , my next NYC trip looms just ahead. This year’s theme for Broadway Bares is “Spy Stripper”. Don’t ask. Don’t tell.

One thing I’ve learned: don’t waste space! With that in mind, I’m converting my favorite room in my Baltimore row house back to a portrait and podcast studio. I have plans, baby! Stay tuned. Locally, I really want to support artists that can’t afford super creative photography for promotional work. Nationally, I want to go back on camera, exploring the LGBTQ communities across the world. No one ever said I had small dreams.

You know what they say…change happens! And one of the things I typically like most IS change. I see it as opportunity to try new things, and explore new creative possibilities. That’s what’s going on right now with several large clients— change. How am I prepping? For one thing, I’m ripping out my old studio and storage room and clearing space for a new studio right here at my house in Baltimore. I’m thinking of going back in front of the camera. I’m also thinking of offering local LGBTQIA performers a low to no cost place to get promotional imaging done. With so many local talented performers struggling, maybe I can help. Let’s see where this whirlwind lands. Meanwhile, it’s time to prep for a repeat job in Denver. So, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
