The Family Tree strengthens Maryland families through parent education, support services, home visit
In Maryland, there are over 51,000 reports of child maltreatment each year. For every reported case of abuse, it is estimated that two go unreported. When parents lack support or education, they are more likely to make poor decisions that can lead to neglect or abuse. And without intervention, the consequences can last a lifetime. The Family Tree is Maryland’s leading child abuse and neglect prevention center, providing the education and support parents need to raise healthy, productive children. Through proven, effective programs, we break the cycle of abuse, improving individual families, impacting future generations, and strengthening our society as a whole. Our vision is that all children are raised in safe and supportive families and communities.
