It's Throwback Thursdays!

A Valentine's Day decor for a wonderful dinner event a church was having. The client did provide a few items that I was able to incorporate in this set up.

Sometimes you are too focused in getting the work done to realize that you've spent a large amount of time standing and bending. At the end of it, when you decide to finally sit down, all the pain rushes in. Sometimes I get home and something is sore.

I joke around and say I don't need to go to the gym, I just need to do a set up and clean up...lol

It is always a good thing to go through your work bag at least a week before to replenish items that are low (string, clamps, glue dots, pins, hooks, various tapes, extension cord etc). You may feel that what you have left is fine for the next job, until you show up and need more. Now you have to improvise. It is better to have more than what you need and not use it.

Sometimes we have more than one work bag, so let's make sure we are keeping all of them stocked and ready to go!

When you come into purchase cabinets, saying you want a shaker style just doesn't answer all the questions.

How thick do you want the stiles to be? The stiles are the 4 pieces that make up the sides of the door and/or drawer front. It can be skinny or really thick. There is the typical most common size, which would fall in the 2in range.

You also have to determine if you want the drawers and doors to match. This is called a 5pc header. If not, then you would ask for a slab drawer front.

Full Bloom! A space for women to come, be vulnerable and learn to bloom. Happy to have been selected to do this set up and I was also able to sit in and listen to the gems dropped.

This is a God given business and everyday I'm trying to remember that I need to steward what He has given me properly. Some days I don't see how, but every month He has provided a client. I want to lean in and give Him it all, but at times it's hard to see where we're going. It's a daily surrender to God and I need to understand that even if I don't see it, He does!

If Netflix calls for Event Planners and Interior Designers to tell their stories of what happens behind the scene, I'm right here! 🙋🏾‍♀️ lol... I'll sing like a canary!

I'm ready to tell my story, but can I get a nap first? LOL!

When you feel like you can clean up by yourself, but now you're running on fumes and calling for a life line...lol
