The Mercury Theater is offering Small Doll followers discounted tickets to their stage adaptation of the folk horror classic, The Blood on Satan’s Claw! When a strange skull is unearthed in a small English village and the teenagers of the village begin to behave bizarrely, the townspeople begin to suspect that a Satanic cult might be among them.

About Bill:
William M. Tsutsui currently serves as Chancellor and Professor of History at Ottawa University, after more than 30 years teaching modern Japanese history and holding a variety of administrative positions at the University of Kansas, Southern Methodist University, Hendrix College, and Harvard University. Among the nine books he has written or edited are Godzilla on My Mind: Fifty Years of the King of Monsters (called a “cult classic” by the New York Times), In Godzilla’s Footsteps: Japanese Pop Icons on the Global Stage (co-edited with Michiko Ito), and Japanese Popular Culture and Globalization. He continues to speak, write, and teach on the Godzilla movies, monster culture in Japan, and the environmental history of Japan and the Pacific Ocean.

Film Festival & Horror Market - This year we received over 500 submissions to our festival and have selected 16 terrifying shorts. Come watch the work of these incredible filmmakers and animators, grab some popcorn and snacks, and shop all of our local ghouls incredible work! (Filmmaker and Market Lineup coming soon!)
October 25th 6pm - Honourable Mentions Screening - Join us at Peabody Heights Pennant Room in watching the films from all of our honourable mentions this year! We will also have resources, zines, and more for aspiring filmmakers who want to sink their teeth into DIY filmmaking!
All of our events are free and donation based! Our events on the 24th and 25th are wheelchair accessible! Masks are strongly encouraged but not required. We are keeping track of COVID surges and will inform all if anything changes.

The “Wretched Reads” Horror Book Club is thrilled to collaborate with the an offshoot of the this June with:
“Exquisite Co**se” by Billy Martin
Exquisite Co**se opens with infamous serial killer Andrew Compton, the gruesome murderer of twenty-three young boys between the years of 1977 and 1988. Stuck in prison and tortured by his inability to sate his desires, he fakes his own death to escape from prison, making his way across the nation to the United States. There, he’ll join forces with Jay Byrne, a new money New Orleanian who knows the ins and outs of the city, and the boys he photographs.

About Tim:
Tim Paggi is a playwright, poet and writer of office horror. His work uses dark humor and cosmic horror to explore issues of identity and free will in American workplaces. He is the author of the novella, “How to Kill Friends and Eviscerate People,” and the forthcoming “The Other Side of the Hallway” from Akinoga Press in 2025. His poetry chapbook “Workforced” won the 2015 Plork “Play/Work” Award for Creative Writing and Publication Arts.
Currently, he seeks representation for his novel, “Welcome to the Team.” He holds an MFA from the University of Baltimore, and lives with his wife in Johnston Square.

Coming this July
“Sound of Horror” is an experimental horror film festival honoring the importance of music (or lack thereof) in horror filmmaking.
Back in December we paired 6 bands with 6 filmmakers. The bands created an original song for the filmmakers to direct a music video for inspired by the horror genre.
On Thursday, July 31st join us for a face melting concert with performances by:
