We are so lucky to have Mrs. Kothari here at Crestview!
This week's "Rockwood Staff Shoutout" features Manaswi Kothari, a classroom assistant at Crestview Middle!
Read what Manaswi's nominator had to say about her: "I'd like to give a heartfelt shoutout to our incredible classroom assistant, Manaswi Kothari, who is a constant ray of positivity. She holds high expectations for our students while providing the patience, guidance and care they need to succeed. We are truly lucky to have her as part of our ELD (English language development) team at Crestview, and her dedication does not go unnoticed." - Debra Carcamo, ELD specialist at Crestview Middle

Last week, 8th Graders attended Civil War Day, put on by Rockwood’s Partner’s In Education (PIE) program. Students learned about the Civil War through reenactments, story telling, music, and more. Thanks PIE for putting on this hands on learning event for our students!

13 Crestview students were honored at the Glory of Missouri award ceremony this year on April 21st in Jefferson City. The state award recognizes 8th graders from each school, each representing one of the virtues that make up the "Glory of Missouri," which are values engraved in the Missouri House of Representatives Chamber. The event consisted of a small group ceremony in the state congressional chambers and a dedication hand-signed by the House Representatives elected official.

The Missouri State MathCounts Competition took place on Saturday, March 7th. CMS 8th grader Akshu Kosaraju competed as an individual as part of the Crestview Math Team and took home third place in the individual competition.
This placement means Akshu will be one of four students in the state to represent Team Missouri at the National MathCounts Competition in Orlando in May.
Congratulations Akshu!

We loved welcoming our future 6th Graders to Crestview today! Students enjoyed incredible performances by our band, orchestra, and choir—and took part in the largest-ever game of rock, paper, scissors! We can’t wait to have you officially join us at Crestview next year.
We wrapped up first semester Friday, with an action-packed Winter Assembly featuring drumline, a highlights video, volleyball, box stacking, chess, dodgeball (students vs. admin!), dance crew, a student band performance of Crazy Train, and the always-fun Whitney Houston Challenge.
Huge thank you to our staff and especially STUCO for leading so many of the games and making the day a blast. We’re proud of our students and all they accomplished—enjoy a well-deserved break!
