I ran out of hay so what better excuse to scroll Facebook and play on your phone than just letting the goats out to find their own food for a little while and playing at goat herding? I have them trained to recall to “follow me” (I put some grain and alfalfa pellets in a bowl back at their pen)

Are my sweet potatoes trying to tell me something????? If I didn’t know any better…..

Would these be considered half pastured chicken? I’m thinking of making them a fence with “front porch” pasture access, lol.

Next batch of non gmo corn soy free Cornish will be ready starting mid May. I’ll start processing at 6 weeks and go though 8 weeks so there should be an even distribution of sizes to choose from. They went pretty fast last time so send me a message if you’re interested!
Side note: how many silkies can you fit in a nest box? Turns out…..5. You can fit 5. That picture has 4 but number 5 was lurking around the corner waiting for me to leave 🤦‍♀️

The difference between landrace homestead chickens and domestic pretty egg chickens. I fed everyone late today and the domestic birds are all standing sadly at the chicken yard walls waiting to be fed and the landrace Icelandics said “screw it” and went grocery shopping by hopping out and getting it done for themselves, lol.
