Although the great season we had is winding down, there’s still a few to catch!

With Coho fishing it’s important to follow what your feeling. These fish are scattered throughout the Sound and can be found anywhere from shoreline to mid channel. Lately we’ve been starting around the Sierra Gulf bouy and following the schools with current direction as we find them. Today we stayed with them for over 2 miles for our limit. The closest other boat fishing was well over a mile away. There’s no need to be bunched up with all the traffic.

Crazy coho followed me and caught me in the fog.

If you have been feeling strange vibrations lately, it could be small earthquakes but more likely the 7-11million pink salmon swarming into the Sound😳 Fishing and catching are synonymous with this return and catching it has been.

It’s been a great summer season in the Sound. Pinks are starting to invade, I hear 7million are expected to return to the Sound.

The plugs have been pulling their weight lately.

Chinook fishing opened today in MA 9 and MA 10. 5” Tomic plugs did their work.

Some good action for resident silvers going on. Area 10 chinook will open 7/17 on a three day (Thursday-Saturday) schedule.

Salmon season opens April 2 in MA 10. Fishing will be Wednesday-Saturday through April or until quotas are met. There should be some great fishing to be had.

It’s been an amazing coho season. Still going strong for October.
